Mt. Baldy Hike
My friends and I recently hiked to the top of Mt. Baldy! One of the highest summits in our nearby mountain ranges. One of our friends checked out the trail two weeks in advance and picked the less steep, longer one. He said it was fairly unimpressive looking, so we should do the one that was 4.5 miles one way, with a 4,000 ft. elevation change. He left two twelve packs of beer near the summit, so it became a sort of "treasure hunt." Boy, that was a ROUGH hike. If it wasn't for one of my friends slowing down and staying with me, I definitely would have quit. One of the guys who jogs and bikes regularly couldn't make it to the top. For the next three days I could hardly walk.

It was so beautiful the day that we went because it was overcast in LA. We got to hike above the clouds. Though we were running in the dark and in the fog on the way down.
Incidentally out of the big list of people that were originally going to go, only six people ended up going, and five of them had beards. Coincidence? I think not.

Victory!
