After the Opening
On the behest of a friend of mine, I will finally add a public conclusion to my journey (one already exists in the eye of my mind, so I had long forgotten to include one here). The night after the opening I went on a very long ambling walk which could best be described as bittersweet. My uncle told me that it's easy to just walk from one end of Tokyo to the other, as the main part of the city is only about 8-10 miles across. Well, I would like to say that in heeled boots, it's not quite so easy.
Some last sights:

the path from work to my place

The emperor's gardens

I basically went near by the imperial compounds and traipsed to the beginnings of Ginza. A trot on the map, but an exodus on my feet. I took a cab back.
