The Last Week of Work
We all worked really hard together until really late hours preparing for Daido Moriyama's show, called "Bye-bye Polaroid" and would feature a line going around the gallery of 505 polaroids. We had to frame each carefully, then realized we had to unframe them all to scan them, then each was edited in photoshop and uploaded to the website. Then they had to be reframed.. then we realized there were problems in getting them to line up exactly when they were hung. It was totally exhausting, but Uematsu-san ordered pizza and beer when we stayed particularly late. Finally, my last day at Taka Ishii Gallery was the opening of the show.

That's the gallery owner in plaid.

One of Moriyama's friends was wearing a really pretty set of antique kimono.. just so nicely coordinated. It had a very dark feeling.

There's Kano-san in purple!

Me, Tamura Naoko, Alida, Murase Kyoko
The food..

And me with Moriyama-san himself!

Still working hard..

Coincidentally, Alida and I were wearing the same stockings in different colors! I had bought them at a sock store in Kichijoji a long time ago, maybe the first time I came to Japan.

And then Kuroppi wearing my hat..

And the last walk back across the bridge...
