Nomura Sakiko, Ramen, Raf Simmons

One Friday eve, we were invited to tag along to Nomura Sakiko's opening and designer Raf Simmons' party at Le Baron. Only Mashiyama, Ishikawa and I wanted to go (in addition to Ishii-san and Uematsu-san who needed to go), so we all met up at photographer Nomura Sakiko's opening in Harajuku after work.
The work was movingly sensitive and beautiful.. you could feel the sadness of parting with someone in her works. She worked with Araki for a while.
Mashi went back home and Ishii-san treated the rest of us to ramen and beer. It was exciting to check out Le Baron finally, especially since this was an invite only party. Despite how strange the combination of people was, it was kind of fun.
I love how confident Ishii-san is.. we just went down and sat in the reserved seats, drank champagne, said hellos to Raf Simmons (who is a really down to earth guy) and then left. I'm glad we weren't there for too long, because I don't really like fashion types in general, so it wasn't a super comfortable atmosphere.
Oddly, I also ran into someone I knew from Los Angeles there.
And on the miraculous/incredible side, the seats we had stolen were actually reserved by Matsuda Shota, who I think noticed me and Ishikawa-san lingering and looking at him as I was saying "isn't that him?? isn't that him??" Well it was, and I never went up to say hello or anything. I'm really bad at talking to famous people. ¶ 6:31 AM
