ULTRA
Sorry I'm so behind on blogging! Last night was the opening party for the ULTRA director's fair in Omotesando at Spiral. Taka Ishii Gallery is exhibiting 1 painting by Violet Hopkins and 4 photographs by Naoko Tamura. I think Alida and I will be standing in the hallway all week long! I'm working Saturday and Sunday too, but I have Monday off, which is a national holiday (culture day). It's going to be an interesting change of pace from the gallery.
After the opening, Jeffrey took the people who were left (Alida, Kira, Koga-san, his wife, Yamaguchi-san, artists Nina and Tamura-san and others) to an izakaya where we got to eat crab mashed potatoes, fried sardines, mustarded tomatoes, fried rice, gyoza, etc. After three glasses of wine and a beer, I was a little tipsy returning home. Of course we went by the last train and since Alida had to take Nina home, she had to take a cab back to her place (Oshiage).
