  Mitsui Garden Hotel - Ginza

Mitsui Garden Hotel in Ginza, where I picked up Slater Bradley. (the lobby is on the 16th floor)

Love the lighted column... and the low couches that 'slide' into the window and into the city beyond...

yeah the whole lobby was wide and the shiny black floor and low couches made you feel like you were going to slide out the window. Next to a structural support (like a beam), they put a clear column with one shelf on it and vases on it.. It was such a clever way of making the beam look elegant and apart of the design. By the way, the Tokyu Cerulean Hotel in Shibuya is an example of a hideous, cramped, and dark lobby.
