  Flowers from Bradley's Opening, Yokohama

Flowers from the Slater Bradley opening.

So Thursday night I went straight from work to see Hiroko in Hongo Sanchome and meet law students! Then I went straight from there to Yokohama for the official unofficial triennale opening afterparty (our gallery's first time hosting such a big event!). I caught all of the absolute last trains there, barely catching the last one (the conductor said "don't buy a ticket! Just go an figure it out there!"), and taking a taxi with some drunken philanthropist salaryman to the opening. I was so hungry because I had barely eaten lunch, but there was absolutely no food to be had in the place. There was a vending machine that sold Calorie Mate for 500 yen each, and I almost gave in to the ridiculousness, but they were sold out T_T. Generally, club parties go from around 11 or 12 to 5AM, because the trains stop running in between. This was no exception. So finally at 5 AM I got to get away from the awkward dancing and supreme exhaustion that the party represented and hop on a train back. But I needed to take artist Darren Bader back to his leased apartment, so I didn't get back to my place until about 7AM. Then, I cooked a little lunch and went to sleep for 2 hours, rolled out of bed, had a full day of work, and then got home.. didn't sleep until 5, rolled out of bed, met up with Hiroko in Hibiya (which is actually a really nice area), and then slept over at their house. Woke up early and went with Kiyomi to a flower wholesale market (you have to have a practicing license to get in.. flowers I'd never seen in my life! My new favorite is the "Chocolate Carson"). It was really interesting seeing Kiyomi in her element. She needed some things for an arrangement for a calender she's doing for one of the top three Japanese coffee companies!) Then she treated me and Hiroko to a lunch at a buffet style steak and hamburger place in Kichijoji.

I'M SO TIRED WHEN WILL I GET TO SLEEP??

How, you are crazy busy. Impresive life you lead.

Stay awake! Sleep on the weekends!!

I wish I could sleep on the weekends. I kind of hate this pace. It's killing me.
